Verde Valley supports empowering women through home ownership

About Habitat for Humanity

Driven by the vision that everyone needs a decent place to live, Habitat for Humanity began in 1976 as a grassroots effort on a community farm in southern Georgia. Families and individuals in need of a hand up partner with Habitat for Humanity to build or improve a place they can call home. Habitat homeowners help build their own homes alongside volunteers and pay an affordable mortgage. Through shelter, we empower.

Verde Valley Habitat for Humanity offers a hand up to women, empowering them through home ownership. Over 90% of our local Habitat home owners right here in the Verde Valley are single working mothers with children living at home. Offering these women a path out of poverty, giving them a way to provide a safe and secure home for their children is what our mission beseeches us to do.

Won’t you join us in empowering and supporting women.
