Remodel Responsibly

"Remodeling can be an exciting undertaking. After all, who would not enjoy a brand new look? Before you decide to bring your outdated appliances, furniture, fixtures and other items to the local refuse site or throwing them in your garbage can, remember to remodel responsibly and donate your used and still functional items to our Restore. The sales proceeds of these items go toward the energy-efficient remodeling of existing homes and/or building of new homes for deserving, low income families in your neighborhood. You will help the Earth remain green and the Environment clean, and contribute to a worthy cause.

A complete list of acceptable items can be found on our Donation Criteria page.

For your convenience,we are open 6 days a week MON-SAT 9AM to 5PM. If you are unable to dop off your donations, we will gladly pick them up. Contact us at (928) 649-6788 today.

Calling all Builders, Contractors, Building Product Suppliers & Do it Yourself Homeowners…

Are you in the midst of spring cleaning? If you are not sure what to do with your good, reusable items, don’t throw them away and contribute to the landfill. Instead you can donate these items to our local Habitat ReStore! Your tax-deductible donations are sold in the ReStore at 25% to 75% of the standard retail price, and the resulting income goes directly to the support of the Habitat mission. Every year, businesses, families, individuals and builders donate home accessories and other building supplies. A little spring cleaning goes a long way when you donate to Habitat ReStore. In 2008-2009 Verde Valley Habitat for Humanity diverted 70 tons of usable building supplies and home décor items from our local landfills! We anticipate diversion of 75 tons for fiscal year 2009-2010. Please review our list of accepted donation items below, and call our office at 649-6788 to schedule a pick up! Volunteers are on staff to take your call.

If you are in the market for building materials or home accessories, please visit us at the ReStore. New inventory arrives weekly.

If you have : New Building Materials, Overstocked items, New or lightly used Hardware, Plumbing items, Lighting & Electrical Fixtures or other suitable items that can be used in home remodeling, You can help VVHFH raise money to build homes!

To Recycle and ReStore

The Verde Valley Habitat for Humanity ReStore is in Cottonwood, AZ. ReStores are located in many locations in our state and nationwide. Our "slightly used, new and overstocked" building material thrift store provides low cost (usually at a 50%-75% discount) building supplies for local residents, while in turn providing working capital for our building mission right here in the Verde Valley. Photos on this page will give you an idea of the type of items we sell. Many Habitat for Humanity affiliates are able to generate enough revenue through their ReStore to build 1-2 houses a year. Indeed, our ReStore is an important fund-raising component for the Verde Valley Habitat for Humanity affiliate organization. We are pleased to say that we have had great support from our local residents and businesses as we collect items for our store.

If you are not currently in our volunteer data base, and would like to help in our ReStore, please call us or submit a volunteer form (see navigation panel) so we can add you to our database and provide updates on our work in the community.
